US AG Barr on racism, George Floyd, crime, Portland and Trump

US AG Barr on racism, George Floyd, crime, Portland and Trump Barr rejects Democrats' assertions of racism in US policing and denies he favoured Trump's friends in Mueller trials. United States Attorney General William Barr appeared before the House Judiciary Committee on July 28 for the first time since taking office in February 2019. Barr's appearance came amid the deployment of federal law enforcement officers against crowds of protesters in Portland, Washington, DC, and other American cities. Barr's tenure as the top law enforcement official in the US has been controversial. Some Democratic politicians have called for Barr's impeachment. More than a thousand former Justice Department lawyers have signed a letter urging him to step down. Four former presidents of the DC Bar Association have called for a professional ethics probe. In the hearing, Democrats, who control a majority in the US House of Representatives, ch...

Alyssa Milano Rips Joe Rogan For Being More Popular Than She Is In 22-Tweet Celebrity Temper Tantrum It is with tears in my eyes that I must announce that the celebrity rendition of Imagine from March has not solved all the world’s problems. Good try, good effort, Ramen noodle hair. Thankfully, we have Alyssa Milano, who appears to be posturing for a role as Grandstanding Gal On A Wine Drunk in the next Scorsese film. She has already proven herself to be the most diverse actress in Hollywood, if this tweet is any indication. Milano put her acting range on full display Thursday night to her 3.7 million Twitter followers, kicking off a 22-tweet digital ambush no one can remember asking for. Do we have a choice? No we do not. The 47-year-old actress covers everything from the evils of Trump to MLB baseball to sympathizing with Boomers to policing to more Trump hate to the Washington R*dsk*ns to Cheez-Its to Breonna Tayl...

Trump White House Meets Its Match With Barstool Sports

Trump White House Meets Its Match With Barstool Sports Trump admits he regrets some tweets during this fratty, swampy summer, as nostalgia surges for Trump’s first underdog campaign and a more uncertain future looms. WASHINGTON — During the Clinton presidency, The New Republic billed itself as the in-flight magazine of Air Force One. Former President Obama loved The Atlantic. President Trump prefers Barstool Sports, the sophomoric, in-your-face sports blog beloved by bros of all stripes. The president — who noted this week that “Nobody likes me” — is always looking for a friendly ear in the media. But unlike Fox News, the frat-boy blog turned media empire is known more for its dude content — “Man Vs. Wasp Nest - Who Ya Got?” reads one recent headline — and “Local Smokeshow of the Day” gallery of babe photos than for its political coverage. Barstool’s founder, Dave Portnoy, 43, began his first White House sit-down last week with an appeal. “Your son’s ...

PACITA ABAD: SHE MADE SO MANY MEN ANGRY 36 YEARS AGO -- AND CHANGED HISTORY On this day 36 years ago, Filipino artist PACITA ABAD made a whole lot of people, mostly men, very angry. In 1984, Abad was one of ten recipients for the Ten Outstanding Young Men Awards, a prestigious recognition for young men awarded by the Junior Chamber International Philippines. A form of quilting that results in a "puffy" look (it was used on the Starfleet uniforms in Star ...
